Louth based DHP Signs demonstrates its winning specialisation delivering the fastest graphics on two wheels…

Much has been said and lots of homespun philosophy has attempted to bring its powers of analysis to bear on what it is that compels people ‘who can’ to race, and those who can’t, or who’d rather not, to watch. Everyone has their reasons. Going fast is addictive. Doing so in the close company and heat of competition takes it to a whole new level.

Being the pilot in command of a vehicle capable of leaving 200MPH in its wake requires superhuman twitch-reflexes and otherworldly skills. When the vehicle in question has over 200BHP to deal out, weighs next-to-nothing and only has two wheels, the atmosphere is even more rarefied. Motorcycles were put on Earth to race, and a gifted few of us know how to do it well.

2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year for FHO Racing. The team will be fielding bikes in the TT and will be there on the British Superbikes grid too. The team’s men who can reads like a Who’s Who of Road Racing. Among them is Peter Hickman, acknowledged as the fastest road racer in the world, he’s a TT Record Holder and serial Superbikes winner. His sights are set on building on his obvious talents for winning this year. In FHO Racing, he has a powerful team with him.

Road Racing is one of Motorsports’ great events and spectators gravitate toward it. The bikes, and every element of the events’ entourage compete for attention on the part of teams and sponsors. They get it too. Graphics abound and they’re delivered by a relatively small number of specialised designers and application experts. In provisioning the FHO team with what it need to stand out when racing comes to town, DHP Signs, based in Louth, Lincolnshire, can count itself among the industry’s best.

Darren Havercroft and the team at DHP sends FHO’s bikes out to battle looking nothing less than spectacular. Behind the apparently simple job of putting graphics on motorcycles though is a raft of project management skills, design expertise and specialist knowledge needed to deal with the less-than-cooperative geometry bikes present.

Racing bikes lead an incredibly hard life and pick up all sorts of battle-rash while making forward progress at blinding speeds. Accordingly, wherever there’s a panel wearing DHP’s expertly produced and applied graphics, there’s another, waiting in reserve to take its place. It’ll be matched to a high level of colour-critical fidelity and it’ll be there where and when needed.

DHP achieves its stellar results with a bit of help from the Metamark materials the team uses. MD5 figures wherever print is needed and, to keep hardworking and costly bodywork looking great and performing to order Metamark Paint Protection Films have a role. These next-generation films suck up the sort of airborne and wheel-flung debris that could erode unprotected panel work in a single outing.

As FHO hits its stride this year, we’ll be looking over DHP’s shoulder and bringing you more detail about its work and the team’s progress. In the final analysis, you can say what you like about racing but, thanks to the work DHP delivers to FHO Racing, there’s a team out there whose bikes speak for themselves.
