Pride Building Wrap | Pullman Hotel

While the residents of Sydney, Australia were gearing up to celebrate the 45th anniversary of Sydney Mardi Gras and WorldPride 2023 in February, Bamboozel Projects and Spandex AU were gearing up to put on a colorful display fitting of the momentous occasion.

The Challenge

Bamboozel Projects required a reliable brand for a large-scale window graphics project to create the biggest and highest pride flag in the city, starting at level 21 of the hotel and measuring 16 stories high. The Pullman hotel wanted this project to be achieved without detracting from the amazing park view and city skyline guests of Pullman Hyde Park Hotel expect.

The Solution

To achieve this, they chose to print on Campaign White on Black perforated window film in 40% transparency. We recommend this product for short term campaigns as it has an expected lifetime on window of up to 2 years and retains many high-quality features of our Performance products.

The most interesting aspect of this application was that it required Bamboozel Projects’ installation team to be abseiling down the side of the building, 70 meters high above the street below. This is why a substrate that would easily release from its backing sheet was required. They also needed a product that could withstand the reflective heat of the sun off the glass during the installation process and that they could trust not to fail once applied to the windows.
