Vehicle Wrap | West Star Plumbing and Mechanical
The Challenge
West Star Plumbing and Mechanical wanted a fresh vehicle wrap on their van to help promote their business as they drove around town. Oregon Design Co knew that Contra Vision perforated film would provide a strong visual impact while maintaining a good level of visibility for the driver.
The Solution
Portland based Oregon Design Co turned to Contra Vision Campaign White on Black with a 40% transparency – WBMGAG40.
Campaign White on Black is part of our standard range of perforated films. A great value range, offering market leading qualities. It also features our Universal Liner which is suitable for all printing technologies, including UV inkjet.
Oregon Design Co also knew they could rely on WBMAG40 to provide a seamless match color and quality match with other film used for the rest of the vehicle wrap. This allowed the design of the wrap to cover the entire vehicle, resulting in a powerful final visual and offering maximum opportunity for branding and promotion for their client.
For this vehicle wrap project, they also chose to overlaminate to further protect the wrap against the elements. Laminating, or ‘overlaminating,’ as it’s popularly known, is an optional production step that print producers perform.
Laminating graphics produced using perforated window films, or ‘perf,’ for one-way vision graphics is optional, but often required, and it’s regarded as essential in many applications, especially for vehicle and transit projects.
Some positives of applying a clear overlaminate are;
– Physical Protection
– Rain Protection
– UV Protection
– Easier Handling
– Better image performance
“It has been about 3 years since we installed the perf vinyl on the vehicle and we see it roll around town. The graphics are still holding up and last longer than expected.”
