Welcome back to the Trimwel Monthly Newsletter.

Each month, we share practical insights, product highlights, and real customer work to help you get more from the materials and systems you use every day.

Product in Focus – MetaCast® MDC XR™

MetaCast® MDC XR™

This month we’re taking a closer look at MetaCast® MDC XR™, Metamark’s premium cast printable wrap film for high-performance vehicle applications.

Built with the advanced MetaGlide® XR™ adhesive system, MDC-XR is designed to give installers more control during application, with improved repositionability and micro-channel air release.

It’s made for demanding jobs, offering:

  • Strong conformability into deep channels and recesses
  • Smooth repositioning during install
  • Reliable air release for a clean finish
  • Confidence on complex vehicle wraps

A solid choice for full wraps where finish and install performance matter.

Application Focus – Wayfinding Systems

Alongside materials, we continue to support customers with complete display solutions, including CoSign and Slatz wayfinding systems.

These systems are designed to create clean, professional signage across offices, retail spaces, healthcare environments and more.

  • Modular and easy to update
  • Consistent, high-end finish
  • Suitable for internal environments
  • Ideal for directories, room signs and navigation

If you’re working on a fit-out or signage project, these systems are well worth considering. You can also find the guides for these below:

Tip of the Trade – Colour Matching with Metamark M7

Getting colour right is critical, especially when working across multiple jobs or brand guidelines.

If you’re using the Metamark M7 range, make sure you’re taking advantage of the Palette Libraries and Pantone matching guides available on our website.

You can download colour palettes for the 7 Series, 4 Series and T Series, allowing you to design directly in Metamark SignVinyl colours within software such as Adobe Illustrator, Corel, Flexi and SignLab. This helps simplify the design process and improves consistency when producing vinyl cut graphics.

Instructions for installing these palettes are also available to download on the product pages and below, making it quick and easy to get set up.

For digital print workflows, the Illustrator palettes for the 7 Series have been calibrated to give a close likeness on certain output devices, helping bridge the gap between print and cut colour matching. Pantone and CMYK values are also available as a guide, though it’s always best to check against a physical swatch for accuracy.

Using these tools properly can save time, reduce guesswork, and help you deliver more consistent results across every job.

Customer Work Spotlight – Signs Express Belfast

This month we’re featuring a great project from Signs Express Belfast, completed for Rebel Events at Victoria Square Shopping Centre.

The project, themed “Laundry Lane”, was part of an annual fashion show installation, requiring high visual impact while remaining cost-effective for a short-term application.

Products used:

  • MD-100 – Flat panels for background structures
  • MDP-UB – Used on low surface energy and harder-to-stick areas
  • M7-CR – Applied to acrylic and glass for a printed etched effect

The MD range provided the right balance of price, print quality, and performance for a temporary installation.

MDP-UB was selected for its ultra bond adhesive, offering strong hold on difficult surfaces while still allowing controlled application.

M7-CR delivered a clean etched glass effect, continuing to be one of the most trusted products in Europe for this type of application.

A great example of choosing the right materials for the job and achieving a strong result.
