Tip of the Trade | Don't Skip Surface Preparation
Applying graphics to wood or porous surfaces?
Preparation can make all the difference.
Before applying wall graphics or other self-adhesive films to wood or porous surfaces, make sure the substrate has been properly painted, primed or sealed.
Applying directly to an untreated porous surface can compromise the adhesive bond and affect the long-term performance of the graphic.
For applications where additional adhesion is required, products such as Metamark Silver Bullet and 3M™ Primer 94 can also help with challenging applications.
The key takeaway: A great installation starts with the surface, not the vinyl.

A colour change that makes an impact.
This month we're featuring a fantastic project from WrapHub, completed using 3M™ Wrap Film Series 2080 in Cosmic Blue supplied by Trimwel.
The deep blue finish completely transforms this Range Rover, with the gloss surface bringing out the lines and details of the vehicle.
